ADAS calibration in Geneva: cameras, radars and sensors
In Geneva, AZ Carrosserie calibrates the driver-assistance systems of all makes: cameras, radars and sensors. You can ask for calibration on its own, with no other repair, or after a windscreen replacement, an impact or a replaced part. AZ Carrosserie also programmes new parts. The price is given in a quote.

What is ADAS calibration?
Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) read the road with cameras, radars and sensors: emergency braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, depending on the model. Calibration sets the aim of each of these sensors in relation to the car, so that the system measures correctly. It follows the procedure laid down by the vehicle manufacturer.
When do driver-assistance systems need calibrating?
As soon as the aim of a sensor may have shifted. The most common cases:
- After a windscreen replacement. The front camera is often mounted behind the windscreen; many manufacturers require calibration after it has been replaced.
- After an impact, even a minor collision, at the front or the rear.
- After a wheel alignment or a suspension repair.
- After replacing a part that carries a sensor or sits in front of it: camera, radar, bracket, bumper, door mirror.
- When a driver-assistance warning light or error message comes on.
The good-practice guide of EGEA (the European garage equipment association) lists these cases, and specifies that the manufacturer’s information must be consulted to find out whether calibration is needed.
What AZ Carrosserie does
AZ Carrosserie calibrates all driver-assistance systems: cameras, radars and sensors. The work is done with its own calibration equipment.
Calibration is a separate service. You can bring the car in for calibration alone, with no other repair: after a windscreen was replaced elsewhere, after a wheel alignment, or because a warning light stays on. It can also follow a body repair carried out by AZ Carrosserie.
Programming new parts
A new part sometimes has to be programmed so that the car recognises it and it works. AZ Carrosserie programmes new parts, all makes. Like calibration, programming can be requested together with a repair or on its own.
All makes
Calibration and programming are carried out on all makes. Give the make, model and year in your request: the procedure and the labour time depend on them.
How much does ADAS calibration cost?
The price is given in a quote. It depends on the model, the number of systems to calibrate and the procedure set by the manufacturer. The quote costs you nothing.
How do you request your calibration?
Through the quote form, online and at any time, or by phone on 076 429 04 12. Tell us what has been done to the car (windscreen replaced, impact, part replaced, wheel alignment) and which warning light is on, if any. We reply within 24 working hours.
The workshop is at Avenue Pictet-de-Rochemont 33ter, 1207 Genève. Open Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 12 noon and 1 pm – 5.30 pm.

Your questions about calibration
Does the camera need recalibrating after a windscreen replacement?
Often, yes, when the driver-assistance camera is mounted behind the windscreen. Many manufacturers then require calibration, according to the EGEA guide. AZ Carrosserie does it, including when the windscreen was replaced elsewhere.
Can I have my car calibrated without any other repair?
Yes. Calibration is a separate service at AZ Carrosserie. You do not need a body repair to request it: give the make, the model and what has been done to the car, and the quote starts from there.
Do you calibrate all makes?
Yes, all makes, for calibrating cameras, radars and sensors as well as for programming new parts. Give the model and year in your request.
Can I drive before the calibration is done?
The decision is yours, and your manufacturer remains the reference. The EGEA guide recommends warning the driver: until the calibration is done, they should not rely on the driver-assistance systems working properly.
How long does a calibration take?
It depends on the vehicle and the systems: some are calibrated with the car stationary, others need a drive on the road. The quote says what your car needs; the timing is agreed with you.
